Brawn Nutrition is known for innovative sports and nutritional supplements. So it is not surprising that the US manufacturer offers the novel SARM YK-11 in its product range. It is a selective androgen receptor modulator, abbreviated to SARMs, which acts as a myostatin inhibitor.

In one study, researchers found that YK-11 leads to an increased release of anabolic factors – even more than the body’s own steroid hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Increased secretion of follistatin suppresses the gene myostatin. This results in a higher release of the growth factors Myf5, MyoD and myogenin and the hypertrophy of the muscle cells is promoted.
